This looks like a home where people worked very hard to make a living.  I wonder who the little boy is?

Ella Rees Norman (1868 - 1941),  wife of William Norman.

Workers at the Deaf School

Gladys Gooch and friend.  Gladys was born in Raqccoon Twp., Gallia county and married and raised her family there.  But before she married Everett Deckard, she worked at the School for the Deaf.  Does anyone know where that school was located?  Or who Gladys' friend might be?

I now know that the little girl in the top right picture is Marjorie Edith Logue, granddaughter of Charles and Mary Gooch, Joe and Roma Logue.

All four grandparents born in Gallia County.

Old farmer

Look at this old farmer and his haystacks. Winter on his Gallia County farm.

This is Charles Newberry Gooch who died in 1921.  His 90 farm was located on Eagle Road.

This is a great picture...if only I knew who he was! And I cannot tell if he is holding a sign or if it is part of the chair. It is not possible to tell if there is writing on the sign/paper. And I can see a bottle on the gound next to the chair...medicine? whiskey? Some pretty scuffed shoes. Anybody know him?
